I’ve worked with Photo Phactory as an intern and freelance designer: Here are some of the collections I designed for the brand.

🇸🇬 The Shophouse Edit May 2023 ☀️

The Shophouse Edit features the iconic Singapore shophouses on laquer products. This collection is characterised by its bold colors, classic style, shophouses windows and Peranakan tiles. With an eclectic mix of Chinese, Malay and European elements, this collection celebrates our islands’ fabulous gems of the past. With four different prints in four different colorways, this design features a simple vector style design with watercolour overlays on all the products : trays, coasters and tea boxes.

Diwali 2023 Collection ✨

"Horn Okay Please" was a collection that I designed for Diwali 2023. It is a vibrant festive collection of trays and coasters that features captivating Indian truck art! These pieces feature intricate designs, vivid colours, and the iconic floral motifs found on these decorated vehicles, symbolizing joy and energy of the festive season.

I wanted to create something festive yet nostalgic ; with a retro color palette suitable for festive gifting featuring four iconic Indian vehicles : the Lambretta , auto rickshaw . cycle rickshaw and the big road truck. The collection includes trays, coasters and charcuterie platters.

☃️ Christmas Illustrations 🎄

I was comissioned to create festive Christmas illustrations inspired by the timeless beauty of Singaporean shophouses in the Joo Chiat Area!
Christmas is such a unique blend of heritage and holiday magic : even though Singapore will never have snow (unless it’s the fake foam they spray at little kids at the mall ) , the winter charm in Singapore is truly magical from the gorgeous winter light and Christmas lighting decor. Each illustration reflects the vibrant colors, intricate Peranakan tiles, and the warm spirit of this iconic neighborhood. I added in some miseltoe and a tiny santa sleigh !

🛩️ Travel Passport Cover and Luggage Tag 🧳

I had so much fun creating this comissioned passport cover and matching luggage tag inspired by the timeless beauty of shophouses and Peranakan tiles. Typical passport covers look more generic and don’t allude to the country you come from.

Mythology Collection
🪷 Diwali 2022 ✨

Mythology collection by Photo Phactory is a festive collection with an Indian theme and global appeal. Inspired by the traditional Indian Pichiwai style of painting, I chose four iconic animals from Indian mythology. Each of the different MDF trays and costers was meant to symbolise different kinds of positive energy inspired by these majestic creatures.
