👨🏻‍🦽‍➡️SG Enable Partnership Merchandise Design

Brief in Brief:

Works by talented disabled artists are featured every year during Singapore’s National Day Parade on tote bags and fans. However, these artworks are seen as a one-off merchandise piece to be used and discarded. SG Enable wanted to push the idea further: What if there was a way to spotlight their artwork in our homes on high end merchandise that celebrated them as an integral part of our social fabric?

Insight:

In order to get people to purchase higher value items, we needed to convince them of the value of these illustrations. What if we could combine them with something Singaporeans are already familiar with: Like Peranakan Tiles: so that they may consider these pieces as a high-end home decor investment?

It was a pleasure to work with these artists and adapt their artwork to create out products. Photo Phactory ( the company I was interning with) partnered with i’mable Collective by SG Enable to bring the artworks from talented artists who are persons with disabilities to life! These artworks first appeared in NDP ( National Day Parade ) celebrations, supported by the Enabling Lives Initiative.
